At KOKORO HANASHIZUKU in Kyoto, guests can enjoy an oiran-inspired transformation and photoshoot with elaborate hair, makeup, and styling. Today, we’re introducing a customer who chose two distinctly cool looks for her Oiran C Plan, featuring red and purple styling, painted makeup details, and two different photography rooms.
Hello, everyone. This is Ichikawa from the makeup staff.
Today, I would like to introduce a customer who enjoyed an oiran-inspired experience with a cool, stylish look. Without further ado, please take a look at the photos!
A Classic Red Oiran-Inspired Look in the Yoi-no-Ma Room

For the first look, she chose a classic, quintessentially Japanese style centered on the color red.
By coordinating the uchikake robe, hair ornaments, and makeup all in red, we created a striking contrast against the blue backdrop of the “Yoi-no-Ma” room, allowing her natural charm to shine to the fullest.

For the makeup, we added a painted red line in addition to the eyeshadow. This lined look makes the eyes appear more elongated and defined. By using only a vibrant red, the style avoids looking too harsh, striking a wonderful balance between beauty and a cool, edgy vibe.
You can enjoy this type of painted line—kept within the eyelid area as shown here—at no extra cost as part of the standard plan!

The pose where the client lies amidst scattered flowers is a particular favorite among our oiran-inspired experience customers. The resulting shot is stunning, filling the frame with vibrant color. At the client’s request, we incorporated a fox mask into the shoot—the red ensemble and fox motif make a perfect combination!
A Cool Purple Oiran-Inspired Look in the Hana-no-Ma Room
Next, we would like to share photos taken in the “Hana-no-Ma” room with the second outfit. For this look, we completely transformed the hair and makeup to create a different atmosphere.

The long black wig suits her beautifully. The theme for this second look was a cool, alluring style. By incorporating purple—a color long associated with nobility in Japan—we created an elegant oiran-inspired look.

Take a look at the makeup! The pearlescent eyeshadow creates a glossy, luminous look. I applied line art just like before, but changing the color gives it a completely different vibe, doesn’t it? The black paint creates a dark, edgy finish.
We took photos with a katana to match the cool styling. The combination of the oiran-inspired look and a Japanese sword creates a powerful, dramatic effect—as if capturing a scene from a story—so I highly recommend it.

In the Hana-no-Ma room, we changed the composition from the previous shot and photographed the client lying face-down. The Oiran C Plan allows you to enjoy a wide variety of styles using two different photography booths, with distinct atmospheres created through both styling and poses.
Cool Oiran-Inspired Styling with Painted Makeup
In this feature, we showcased two looks incorporating painted makeup—perfect for those who love a cool aesthetic or want to enjoy a special style that differs from their usual look. Even with the same type of line art, changing the color from vivid red to black creates a completely different impression.
We can suggest styling based on your preferences and the atmosphere you would like to achieve, so please feel free to consult with our staff.
We look forward to welcoming you to KOKORO HANASHIZUKU.
